Project Description
The brief of this project suggested a development which included the designing of 31 upmarket residential units with a communal aspect that included a multi-purpose hall, gymnasium, library and coffee shop.
The inspiration behind this project was Arabic design. To carry this theme through, the aesthetic had plaster work and laser cut panels of arabesque patterns with bay windows which protruded in a similar nature to that of the “mashrabia”, a term used for spaces such as sunrooms in Arab architecture, clad with latticework of intricate patterns to limit the sun.
